The end of an era at Grayshott & District Housing Association was marked by a special gift to Caroline Kaighin. Caroline had served on the Board of Trustees for twenty years, over those years she took on many roles including being Chairman of Maintenance of the properties, Vice Chairman of the Board and acting as Treasurer. Her local knowledge has been invaluable and will be missed. However, she has agreed to still keep a watchful eye on the communal gardens and report on any necessary works.
Caroline took responsibility of the many upgrades of properties, which included designing kitchens and bathrooms, choosing fitments, and coordinating the many trades people involved – not an easy task. She has seen many changes in both the village and at G&DHA during the twenty years.
Caroline was given a special limited edition vase from the Grayshott Pottery as well as some flowers to say a big thank you from all of the Trustees, Kelly our Housing Administrator and the tenants who have benefited from her expertise, enthusiasm and dedication to ensure the charity provides good quality homes in the village.
